What is the Share buttons block?​

The Share buttons block shows a row of small icons that let customers share the product with friends. Each icon opens the network's own share window with a link to the product, or a new email with the product name and link.

To add the block, open the Product information section and click Add block. See Product information for how blocks work on the product page.

Settings​

  • Title font: Use the body, heading or subheading font for the heading.
  • Heading: The text before the icons, for example Share. Leave it empty to show the icons on their own.
  • Text scale (desktop) and Text scale (mobile): Make the heading smaller or larger (50 to 300%).
  • Facebook, X, Pinterest, WhatsApp and Email: Turn each share option on or off. Pinterest also passes the product name as the pin description, and Email uses it as the subject.

Block spacing​

  • Distance top (desktop) and Distance bottom (desktop): Space above and below the block (0 to 60 px).
  • Show custom mobile spacing: Enable this setting to use different spacing on mobile. When it is on, Distance top (mobile) and Distance bottom (mobile) appear.

The shared link uses your store's primary domain. The image and text that appear in the shared post come from the product's social sharing image and SEO description, which you can edit on the product page in your Shopify admin.
